Re: Hello from Sweden
Yes I got it from tradera, arrived yesterday together with an Enterprise 64 :-). For some reason there been two MTX for sale within a week, mine is the one with box but no games. BTW, the seller has tons of retro computers, I emailed and asked for a list and had to google some of them. Now he's sel...

Re: Hello from Sweden
As Mark (1024MAK) said, the space is tight and certainly an F18A works but you can't shut the case. The new Pico9918 might though. Edit: Welcome! You bought the Memotech from Tradera? I saw that one - great looking item. Esit 2: Also there is the TMS-RGB which you solder to the bottom of the TMS9929...

Re: MTXLib
Quite the contrary. The code you reference is what is supposed to emulate counter mode for channels 1 & 2. The counter pins for channels 1 & 2 on the MTX are connected to the output of a divide by 13 counter, which is driven by the 4MHz CPU clock. See, I told you i was about to make a fool ...

Re: What do you do with your MTX?
My main MTX is currently being used for testing my MTXLib experiments.i build and test them.on the PC with MEMU as the main tested, then for sanity checking on the real thing. Unfortunately, the MTX is not permanently setup, but over the summer, some work has been going on to make a safe, dry space ...

Re: Hello from Finland
A piece of trivia . . . . . Between October ‘84 and September ‘85, 223 disk systems (probably all FDX) were shipped to Finland (See the bottom of this page http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/articles/memotech/mtxmemotech.htm ) Really interesting- love the handwritten "cottage industries...

Amazing to find both the FDX and main system in such amazing condition. Lucky guy!
Is the keyboard a Finnish layout?
Edit: extreme close up, it looks like it.

Re: MFX with a difference
Well, that's pretty cool, however useless it might be!
I saw someone write on a forum just the other day (when someone was complaining about a particular upgrade/feature being a dead-end) and he/she said "Retro-computing is all about dead-ends". Which I thought was apt.

Re: MTXLib
Understanding Z80 interrupts in IM2 First things, first, just so I don't make a total arse of myself: Am I right that Andy's original MEMU documentation says that CTC channels 1 & 2 aren't emulated in counter mode. A cursory look at the source code for your version Bill, that looks like that is...

Re: MFX with a difference
Technically you -can- use the Wiznet Ethernet interface from BASIC. It's connected to the Z80 through 4 I/O ports (#90 to #93). So in theory you can do everything Andy and Bill have done in C on CPM, with INP(x) and OUT x,y in BASIC. However while I manged to get the very first NFX prototype to pin...
