Re: New Game: Mahjong Solitaire

Gee, thanks!!! Very nicely done on the MTX, a good classic game!!
And it's always a big pleasure to see fresh titles published for this machine!

Re: Looking for a few games in WAV format

Also interested, for trying them out on my 512... Such a beautiful machine, with such a lack of software... And I know, sharing the WAVs would be kinda illegal, but finding and buying (regardless the price) these tapes as originals is nowadays even harder than finding an MTX machine...

So, how did it go SuperFella? Did the WAVs work OK, or just the same erratic behaviour?

Re: New Game: Klondike Solitaire

Great!!!
Already tried this on Spectrum and it rocks!!! I believe that the MTX version will be as good, or even better! I especially love the queen of hearts!! ;)

Thank you for this nice game, under4mhz !!!

Re: Question #1: .MTX and/or .RUN to .WAV conversion

So, does anyone have a .wav with Jet Set Willy, tested and working on real hardware for me to try?

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading

I agree with all your comments above, the MTX are superb machines for their era, but since I knew little to nothing about them, I was not expecting such a serious omitment as the inability of loading blocks of code from tape. I think that such a thing was essential for the average user back then... ...

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading

Oh, thank you all for your time and patience to give such detailed answers... So the machine is "crippled" and this is because of the ROM original structure... Very sad to realize that... Well, this reminds me of the Camputers Lynx with the painfully slow BASIC due to its peculiar video RA...

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading

Yes, not as simple as it might have been on the Spectrum perhaps, but a little assembler, courtesy of Martin, should do the trick. The program loads the EXEROM, then the games ROM. As I mentioned before, it will be a little more cumbersome with tapes than disk, and of course, you’ll need to get EXE...

Re: Question #1: .MTX and/or .RUN to .WAV conversion

Andy's put VRAM snapshot and CPU snapshot diagnostic options in Memu. I don't think there's an all in one dump everything option or a reload VRAM from snapshot, though I'm willing to be corrected. For those games with copies in MTX file format, then yes they can be "processed" on modern k...
