Re: CFX

Martin will know better, but I don’t think it’s a problem with CFX, as much as it is a problem with the .mtx files.

Andy makes a comment about some .mtx files not auto-running on REMEMORizer too

Re: Homebrew DIY SAM Coupe ?

Perhaps more "on topic" for this forum . . . .

Martin has been working on a Commodore PET co-processor board for MTXPlus+

A work in progress, but it also uses a CPLD to generate VGA

Re: MTX 512 (debugging thread)

Apologies, the current state of the machine is: I have not changed the configuration of the memory (it runs in 64 mode with that weird doughter board). The only change has been general cleaning of the pins. You're not bold, i'm preaty shure you all have vastly more experiance than me, and you have ...

Re: MTX 512 (debugging thread)

Step 3 I agree that one or more VRAMs appear to have issues, and testing/replacement is likely to be needed Yes, the narrow sockets in the MTX are all standard (0.3”) pitch Those RAMs you mentioned will work, but any replacements will be pretty much the same age as the ones you have and they are not...

Re: MTX 512 (debugging thread)

Have you repositioned the wire links for LK6 and LK7 as shown in the service manual reference that I gave you? The last photo we have shows them in the 64k RAM position, they should be in the 32k with “H” RAMs position Keystrokes “producing garbage” could be a VRAM fault (yes, really!) Repeating key...

Re: MTX Games: Best I've seen/heard: Rolla Bearing

I've been going through the games supplied on the CFX CF card to see which will load from BASIC and which won't, so as to determine which to have ready for the exhibition. (Most of the MTX files don't work, unfortunately, many trying to load more data from tape.) I came across rb.bas which loads bu...

Re: MTX 512 (debugging thread)

Closest is probably the annotated PCB photo on this page http://primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/mtxphoto.htm

But if you use the matrix notation that I described, we will know what you are referring to

EPROMS or EEPROMS both need your PCB modified as previously described
