Re: C compiler

You can find a couple of "C" compilers in the disks from the MTX Germany User Club

http://primrosebank.net/computers/cpm/cpm_uc_de.htm

Small C is on disk 28

You'll need to use something like Andy's cpmcbfs to get the files onto your REMEMORizer SD card

Re: Another dead Memotech - Can it be saved ?

The short answer is, YES, it can almost certainly be saved. The real question, is, is there any point? I would usually say that it is always worth saving an MTX, but if you just have the bare PCB, without the case, particularly the keyboard, and without the power supply, there is probably little to ...

Re: Edge connector woes

If you have used IPA and a fibre glass pencil, I don’t think you should be any harder on the edge connector. The edge connector on the MTX isn’t very good at all. Memotech used a very cheap construction method, they are not quality connectors and were formed with a layer of solder on the PCB traces....

Re: Eye-watering ebay prices

CRAZY! And opportunistic too. The seller is well known for the prices for his many “ultra rare” postings. He’s a dealer, not a typical seller. That price is significantly more than a basic MTX has ever sold for on eBay UK. If a buyer has the cash to burn and is prepared to pay a ridiculous price suc...

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading

Yes, not as simple as it might have been on the Spectrum perhaps, but a little assembler, courtesy of Martin, should do the trick. The program loads the EXEROM, then the games ROM. As I mentioned before, it will be a little more cumbersome with tapes than disk, and of course, you’ll need to get EXER...

Re: Hello from Chesterfield

Dave will hate me for mentioning this, but I put the design for a DIY CF interface here: http://www.mtxworld.dk/memorum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=386 Of course being the bare minimum it lacks features compared to just about any other "disc" system. I don't hate you for mentioning it - well, not too much...
