Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading
Yes, not as simple as it might have been on the Spectrum perhaps, but a little assembler, courtesy of Martin, should do the trick. The program loads the EXEROM, then the games ROM. As I mentioned before, it will be a little more cumbersome with tapes than disk, and of course, you’ll need to get EXER...

Re: Hello from Chesterfield
Dave will hate me for mentioning this, but I put the design for a DIY CF interface here: http://www.mtxworld.dk/memorum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=386 Of course being the bare minimum it lacks features compared to just about any other "disc" system. I don't hate you for mentioning it - well, not too much...

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading
Yes, I know how cramped the ROM is.
Going back to the code that you wrote for EXEROM, could a user written block of code be used to replicate the USER READ commands to load the EXEROM and game ROMs?

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading
Hi, I'm sure that you can load blocks from tape, it's just that I'm not sure how to do it.
I am also sure that someone else will jump in here - Martin perhaps?
regards
Dave

This is a few months old, but it might be worth emailing him (he has not been back on here since his post below)

Re: Hello from Chesterfield
HI, welcome to the forum. I'm sure that you'll enjoy the MTX and REMEMORizer, but it's not true to say that there is a "lack of freely available mass storage devices" - it's not free, but CFX is readily available :) Feel free to ask any questions as you start to get to grips with the MTX. On the key...

Re: Question #2: EXEROM and tape loading
I have updated the web page with more detail for running on a real MTX Martin worked out how to do this - I had forgotten how it was done until I looked back through the email trail. Anyway, you need to create a loader program that puts the game and EXEROM files in the right area. This was quite eas...

Very Fair !
Current price is £40 + postage and the current boards are fixed as either internal or external mounting - not both. The earlier boards have the flexibility to swap internal/external as required, so this would be a good buy for someone looking for the most flexibility

Re: Keyboard layout
Assembler is not my thing, I'm sure that one of the experts will reply, but . . . . . FWIW . . . . The behavior of the piggy back language ROMs is undocumented, but I think that for the languages that were supported by the standard ROM, e.g., German, then the switch position probably selected the sp...
