Creating new games / software for the MTX
Hi all, I wonder if there is enough interest (and time) to get to a place where enough skilled (and with the time) people to work together to create new software for the MTX. I know there are plenty of ports and long may this continue but I am thinking more specific for the MTX. I know there are var...

Re: Hello from Finland
good idea, they are the higher main voltage caps (mine were yellow in colour) and they all had small cracks in them. I had two PSU's fail because of them so I just brought a load of caps and replaced them all which was easy enough... it was harder getting the PSU out of the FDX!

Re: Hello from Finland
just a quick note re the FDX. If it has not been powered up in a while don't be surprised if you get a fizz and a pop then a lot of nasty smells and the caps on the PSU fry. I have had to replace them all of the SDX/FDX PSU's I have.

Re: Memofest 2023, Where and When?
The other possibility is perhaps getting hold of the chap from RMC the Cave and trying to set up a special weekend (or just a day) event for the MTX, Is it based near Stroud and has plenty of parking and his channel does loads of Retro related youtube content. If I could get that weekend free of the...

Re: I don't s'pose someone would like to lend an FDX to me?...
sadly true Dave, I seem to have a rather large collection and getting larger of non working MTX kit... ;-) Joking aside it would have been great if we all could pull our extensive collection(s) together to celebrate the MTX's 40th and show all the different bits of MTX kit that was sold (HDX and HRX...

If you were to get a rugby match arranged over the same weekend next door to the museum then I can think of someone with a rather large MTX collection who may be tempted in visiting south

Re: Memofest 2023, Where and When?
It would be nice to have it at mine this year but there is just no way (unless I win the lottery and employ the DIY SOS team
) I can host anything at the moment... maybe next year though!?

Re: Sound Engine & Midi Music player for the MTX
Thanks, but its Bill that deserves the praise as its all his work :-) now I just need some more midi files that I can test it with. Using the many I can find online is often more work that its worth as you have to remove tracks and make sure only 1 instrument is used per track before it can be conve...
