The ZX next Project https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1835143999/zx-spectrum-next/updates Now that the ZX Next project has raided more than £723,000 perhaps they should consider investing some of that Money into designing some New 'Real' ZX Spectrum Chips. Namely a ZX spectrum Super ULA givivng ...

Re: ZX Spectrum Next Kickstater

Having had a quick and very brief scan through the kick-starter page , I didn't see a price for the finished item, or it may be my dyslexic eyeballs didn't see it ? :) Why Not Design & Make a ‘New’ ZX Spectrum Super ULA ?? I was recently discussing the pros-and-cons of making a ASIC (application...

Are you into Homebrew microcomputer Building ?

~~~>>>>> Hombrew Microcomputer Builder ? If you’re a homebrew Microcomputer builder/designer then this may be of interest. ~~~~I’ve talked to funkward-tech, a Chinese supplier of ICs, into selling kits of chips.. ~~~~ see : [color=#400040] http://stores.ebay.com/P-A-Electro-Components/DIY-Homebrew-...
Re: Disk on a Chip ??
I think it's supposed to replace the actual physical Floppy disk itself ? It would be connected to an FDC (floppy disc controller, uPD765 etc) via glue logic. So the system would just think it's a large floppy disc. This would have advantages in reliability, larger capacity and faster ? :?
Dave is 'Mr Chips' !!
Call him 'Mr Chips'
Dave has accumulated a small Chip Mountain CPUs (Z80,6502,68008 etc), SRAMs, EPROMs, and much more. So if you need any ICs to build your own homebrew electronics projects it might be worth asking Dave, nicely, and he may send you some. :D
An IC (available in DIP32) that I'm assuming is some form of Silicon Disk that Emulates an FDC+Floppy Drive ? Datasheet : http://www.qscomp.cz/Pdf/doc_2000.pdf https://www.usbid.co...
