Re: Hello from a new member
Cheers Andy, I've been looking at your site (and Dave's), not sure if I've found the others you mention (I may have missed the links). Having seen some of the projects you have on your site I'm pretty impressed with what you've developed. I'm potentially interested in a REMEMOrizer (or REMEMOTECH) b...

Re: Memotech Hardwares till going today
Hi Folks, I am trying to gather data on what old Memotech MTX Series kit is still around (I'm not interested in add-ons for the ZX81 etc. which were Memotech's first venture into the world of personal computers). However, if you have any Memotech kit, including computers, disk units, printers, vide...

Re: Hello from a new member
Um, maybe John thought 512 meant 512k  Of course not... just because it had 512 on the front doesn't mean it has 512K anymore than my Dragon 32 having 32K or the C64 having 64K or the Spectrum 48 having 48K... I suppose I should be using those new-fangled KiB (Kib?) things instead of the n...

Re: Hello from a new member
Thanks Dave, Shakes vigorously - No rattles. As I had a 128K RS128, the thought of a '512 seemed to good a deal for the pittance I probably paid for it. Only later did I realise I'd mis-understood what the numbers meant (not being a Memotechy I 'just assumed'...). Not grumbling though, they are beau...

Re: Hello from a new member
Brief update, I've now fired up the 512 (or should that be 500 - PRINT PEEK(64122) returns 0). After working out how to tune my LCD TV to the RF signal, the screen output looks surprisingly stable. The text is clear, the background shimmers a bit and the audio pops from time to time. I was going to ...

Re: Hello from a new member
Hi Dave, I didn't have a disk drive, the previous owner didn't mention anything about one either (circa '91). The PSU for the 512 is clearly labeled 'MTX512', the other just 'Memotech Power Supply' with the handwritten 'SDX' underneath. Both are marked with the same output '22.5V AC, 1A, Tapped 18V ...

Re: Hello from a new member
A further rummage around has prompted a quick update. I have now found my PSU for the RS128 :D (marked with a hand-written sticker 'SDX') and a few more cassettes (and cassette leads too!): Syntax Software - Edasm Z.80 Macro Assembler Quadrant 5 Software - Gamestape 1 (no idea what's on it) Megastar...

Hello from a new member
Hi All, I'm new here having bumped into Dave on the Stardot (Acorn) forum. Brief Introduction: I originally had a Dragon 32 and later an Atari ST but have quite a motley collection of 8-bit machines. MTX wise I have a 512 and an RS128 (both recently rescued from the attic), some tapes and a few othe...
