Re: what did they smoke when they develop MTX Basic?

You didn't mention the error messages.
Without rushing for the manual could anyone explain what the error "A" means, or "SE.D"

Re: DE1 boards might get cheaper

For those that attended Memofest and saw my DE1, they did indeed get a little cheaper. https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/Terasic-Technologies/P0528/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMurtJ7VwBTl0dtP66NIbUgVwSGXt2wseXE%3d That price works out at around £150 including VAT and delivery. Still not cheap, but maybe an al...

Re: WTB 2114 SRAM x 6

You should have said yesterday, I've a bunch of 2114's. All low power variants by the look of it.

There's 10 MSM2114L3RS (ex Vic20) and 2 MCM21L14P45 ex ZX81.

They're all showing the signs of having been de-soldered manually, so might need a bit of cleaning up, but as far as I know they all work.

Re: Memofest 2017 Photos

Mark poster a picture of a home made keyboard with a suggestion it might have been a cake. Of course it's not, Pothole Pete was the real cake. The home made box hides a component reduces sort of MTX like system, one of a couple of experiments I'd tried with the intention of making a replacement Main...

Re: Memofest 2017 Photos

Next up was fitting the Magrom internally and a "test" of some of the games. That revealed a 3rd problem the "H" key didn't work. Changing the cable didn't change anything so we connected my keyboard, that worked as expected, confirming the motherboard was fine and that the issue...

Re: Memofest 2017 Photos

So last thing Sat, after everyone else had gone, Mark and I had a look at Paul D's MTX to try and work out why it was having video issues. By the time Mark had to leave for the long drive we still hadn't duplicated the fault, even with the extra load on the PSU of driving a CFX-II on the expansion c...

Re: Setting the Agenda

The "computer room" benches are both about 7' long.

The "provisional" Memofest setup has 7 screens set up, one or 2 of which can be moved if necessary
