Wanted: Memotech Computing Book

Wanted Memotech%20Computing%20Book_frontcover_sm[1].jpg Anyone have a spare, they want to sell ? I used to borrow the book from the Local library back in 1987-88, there was only one Library in Denmark which had it. So they got the book transferred so i could borrow it :) I recall i borrowed it two t...

Attachments in the Forum

I raised the limit for attachments, I think it allows .zip .rar etc also.

What attachments we need to support?

Currently SPACE is not an issue, I have 25gb space, and currently I am using 2.5gb and its included the www.mtxworld.dk homepage and files.

Error using CPMCBFS at Windows 7?

Hi. Have been using it before but suddenly i get an error. I wonder if I have installed something which prevent it from working. I get something like that: "Exception: Not enough systemrecources to perform the task." I run at cmd as Administrator. Wonder if some programs in windows creating virtual ...

Re: Sound and LOAD issues

Also a trick is to desolder from both sides, dont know if its works on the Memotech but I removed 8x 4116s from a ColecoVision board, the trick is to cut the legs off the ics. And then desolder from the legs-side of the board, and remove the legs with a tool. then later use a solder pump and heat th...

Re: NTSC/PAL VDP setup?

Ok, but I assume in very limited numbers.

I only know about MIKEs NTSC Memotech, I assume all the Computers in the Memotech Hardware Survey, are PAL versions.

Re: NTSC/PAL VDP setup?

I really dont know, but a guy at the SORD facebookpage said if he clear bit 0 at reg.0 the screen on a sord computer will go out of sync.

But that also lead me to another question, if MIKEs NTSC Memotech was a prototype or they really sold them in USA and Canada?

NTSC/PAL VDP setup?

Hi I Follow another Facebookgroup for the SORD computer, which had the same hardware as the Memotech, exept from a lower clock at the CPU. 3.57mhz. The guys there talk about have to patch games written for NTSC to PAL. Like A bit have to be diffirent while setting up the VDP registers. That is new I...

Re: Stack pointer on entry to m/c programs

That looks like 8080 derived code. The Z80 has both LD (nn),SP and LD SP,(nn) to save and load the stack pointer to memory without involving HL. Yes Martin you are right :) The single opcode is better to use. I used the trick to put the Stack pointer back to the Init point, in a Intellivision game ...

Re: Thoughts on Einstien "Stolen" Software?

Tony, maybe it was the same as the ColecoVision. The VDP was connected to NMI instead of INT. Thats why its harder to port games to the ColecoVision, its much easier with the other systems since they all use INT. Many of the Memotech titles never used Interrupts. AstroPAC did, but it was not ported ...
