Re: Memofest 2023, Where and When?
It's the 10th anniversary of that first Memofest at Jim’s in 2013…

Re: I don't s'pose someone would like to lend an FDX to me?...
It would certainly be a good comparison FDX vs MFX. 1980s vs 2010s.
OK the Cyclone FPGA we used is a bit earlier than 2010, but the net chip is a closer to 2020.

Re: MFX mass-storage add-on - Original Thread
Mmm, another observation on my packing technique - I may need to revisit it :o Well, the good point is that apart from my knife blade, nothing was damaged :D And to be fair, the blade was already well worn… Although putting the label on the bottom of the box, which I did not realise until after I c...

Re: MFX mass-storage add-on - Original Thread
Are you one of the lucky 3 ???
If you're not one of the 3, and might want one, poke Dave
To help Dave out, I've just assembled 3 MFX boards, they're on their way back "up north" for chips and such to be added. If you're not one of the 3, and might want one, poke Dave
Multicomp
On his MFX development pages, Dave mentions that I already had the FPGA board used in the MFX, which was originally running Grant Searle's Multicomp. http://searle.wales/ With the "production" MFX running using it's own FPGA for some time now, I finally got around to re-configuring origina...

The indexed value stored at LABEL 2 was IX+#06.
What came up in the editor was IX+#00.
NB LABEL3 was originally IX+2 that was over written with IX+#00, that's the one originally reported to Jim. I forgot to screen grab that one!

Re: Sound Engine & Midi Music player for the MTX
Wiki says .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI that the Midi data rate is 31.25khz. That's 1MHz divided by 32, or 4MHz divided by 128. On the MTX the serial clock for the DART is generated by the CTC in counter mode. If the CTC were fed with 4MHz then 31250 baud could be done. But it's not the CTC ...

Re: Kill off interrupts on the MTX
So it looks like your second option worked, the 1st one did the same as the one I listed, basically did not seem to stop the interrupts. so for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to kill off interrupts for editing etc uses Bills method below. 10000 LET A=USR(2431) 10010 LET A=USR(2445) 10020 S...
