Re: Pictures

Back at Memofest 2017 I gave Andy a WIZ811 based ethernet interface and 40 column CPM based IDE interface that I'd named the NFX. It looked a bit like this (this is the #2 card Andy has #1) NetworkCard.jpg (Ignore the 8 pin device that a leftover from something else that happens to have been sitting...

The "theme" for this year's Memofest was Turbo! We started with a game competition that has been promised at previous events, but finally happened this time. The prize being a brand new car. The Winner was Jim and unfortunately I don't have a picture of him being presented with his prize b...

Re: Sound and LOAD issues

I had a look at the ROM code for the tap interface, the tape sounds are created by a call to "blip" with each bit transferred. The actual tape transfer is done via the CTC interrupt flipping the C flag to load. Or the output routine toggling the flip flop attached to OUT(3). As far as I ca...

Re: Sound and LOAD issues

You can run Basic without a CTC, however the bits that use interrupts wouldn't work or would work differently.

Meaning no flashing cursor and the break key wouldn't work, so no stopping run-away programs.

Panel would most likely be limited too, single stepping relies on interrupts.

Re: Muldjord aka "El Senator"

... so I was thinking that maybe Memu could work on Arm on a RPi3... Something like: http://primrosebank.net/computers/rpi/projects/memupi/memupi.htm And Welcome! Unfortunately my Arm based MTX emulator won't run on the PI, as it relies on features that were only available on the older Arm chips (2...

2 Weeks to Go !

A couple of questions have cropped up about Memofest: I'm hoping that just maybe this year we'll finally get a high score competition done. So, are there any ideas as to what the game should be ? Should we open the contest up on Facebook for non attenders to have a go and post their own efforts ?? W...

Pick a date

Well Mark, it looks like it's you and me, with Dave connecting via Skype, so which weekend in October should we meet up on for Memofest 2018 ?

Of course if anyone else is interested, they're welcome too.

The memofest2017 at btinternet.com contact e-mail address from last year is still valid.

Re: Host wanted - Where? and When?

I've not seen any other serious offers, so:

Would you guys want to meet up here again some time in October ???

The town's Bonfire Night is on the 13th, which might affect accommodation. But it's also something else to see other than MTXs.
