Re: When and How did you rediscover Memotech ?", but I'm afr
And this is my story . . . . . . Like Martin, I bought my original MTX512 around the end of '83, and followed it up with a twin drive FDX sometime in mid '84. Although I really wanted the FDX, I couldn't afford a colour monitor, at the time, so was stuck with a green monochrome display. Similarly, I...

Re: Please Check legacy ICs before use .
Hi Lez, Thanks a lot for the info. The number of I/O lines should not be reduced by programming one of the EPM7128s, unless perhaps the number of writes has exceeded the design limit (100), I guess anything could happen then, but, without more details, it sounds more like a case of "pilot error...

Re: Please Check legacy ICs before use .
Hi folks, some background to the tests that Martin and I ran on the "Z84C0020PEC"s when we started to question whether the chips were really 20MHz Z80s. As described on my counterfeit chips page :- http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/projects/mtxplus/notes/mtxplus_fakes.htm , I did a...

Re: MTX512 loading information required.
Hi, Welcome to the forum. As you might imagine, loading from tape files these days is a real pain. If you have no alternative though, check out the downloads page on Claus's site : http://www.mtxworld.dk/download.php He has audio files that you should be abl to play from a PC (if it has a sound card...

Re: MTX User Community - The way forward
Well folks, the results are in! Or rather, the 7 poll responses have been duly considered and, by an overwhelming majority, the motion is carried! To summarise, Facebook will stay, but only as a "chatroom", the Forum is to be used for all detailed technical discussions, questions, problems...

Re: Scans of CPM disks
Hi Paul, don't expect too much, but you can get the four disk labels that I have here . . . http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/cpm/cpm_mtx_images.htm The CP/M System and Supercalc disks were in Memorex sleeves, if you click on the thumbnail, you can get an overly large copy of the labels / sleeve...

Re: Website Search Engines
Hi folks, apart from a couple of responders (thanks guys), I have been underwhelmed by the number of replies, but anyway . . . . . . . As more & more information is being added to the site, it is becoming harder to find what you might be looking for. No doubt the menus and the page links could b...

Re: Scans of CPM disks
Hi Paul,
I should be able to get most of them - don't hold your breath though - they are paper labels with typed titles in standard Memorex disk sleeves
regards
Dave
