Re: Building a replacement MTX PSU

Thank you Mark. It helps a lot!

What I'll do is modify your spreadsheet so that it lists the parts from US stockists to help anyone who might need the information in future. If that's OK with you of course :-)

Re: Building a replacement MTX PSU

Mark, I'm having problems locating a suitable 110v-120v transformer with the dual 7.5v output. The best place I've found is Digikey.com, but not the required output. Here's their list of transformers http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/transformers/power-transformers/786735 Is there a suitable ...

Re: Building a replacement MTX PSU

If you grab a time machine and visit Memofest 2014 you can/could of seen it powering a real MTX computer :D Mark    I wish I could've been there and the upcoming ones, but it's a bit costly coming from the USA. Maybe I should start a North American Memofest? I think I'm the only one ...

Re: Building a replacement MTX PSU

Looking good Mark! Will you be posting circuit diagrams and a parts list as I'd like to make a 110v version? Of course ;-) The only differences between a 230V (220V to 240V) and a 110V to 120V version are the mains transformer, the mains on/off switch (which has a neon in it) and the current rating...

Re: MTX to Centronics Printer Cable

Thanks Mark - exactly what I was looking for!! :D

Dave, I'd seen the pin out diagram in the manual, but needed more info which Mark has given. Thanks anyway and it's great to hear from both of you. I see you're busy with the MTX+. I'm in awe in what you and Martin have accomplished. Great stuff.

MTX to Centronics Printer Cable

After a bit of a break, I'm getting my MTX back into service. I'd like to connect it up to a dot matrix printer I recently purchased off eBay, but I can't find a suitable cable. Does anyone know if I can buy one from, or is it DIY? If DIY, what pins are connected to the Centronics connector? I'm als...
