Re: Replacing a 4116 VRAM with a more reliable 4164 - Courte
If there is any demand (i.e., for more than 1), I would do this regards Dave p.s., I had thought about doing this previously, the thing that put me off was the fact that the user would have to remove the existing VRAMs. That is maybe not so much of a problem if the machine has a VRAM fault and is br...

Re: Screw at MTX case bottom
Hi, yes, that's the photo. Just to be clear, the screw that you are talking about should "appear" through the hole in the 7805 regulator, it is not fitted in the photo, but this is the best photo that I have of the regulators and heat sink. They are usually obscured by C56. No, it isn't no...

Re: Screw at MTX case bottom
Look on the page ..... http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/mtxphoto.htm Just below the video board photos, the bolt goes through the base and is fixed with a nut job n the heat sink tab. I'd need to check the size, but it's probably a small BA sized bolt. I'll try and get measurements later Re...

Re: Another 4000-06 board
Hi Claus,
I agree with David, it's likely a VRAM fault, see this page too :-
http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/m ... _fault.htm
I never did figure out how the VRAM could affect the data bus, but it can as my webpage describes
regards
Dave

Re: Building a replacement MTX PSU
Hi David, just a graphics editor - PAINT.NET, it's free. http://www.getpaint.net/download.html It can create most graphics formats (.png, .jpg., .gif, etc.) I am sure there are specific label creation programs around, but this does the job and can create output that could be used by any of the cheap...
