Re: VGA horizontal overscan

I have seen and used REMEMOrizer on a variety of VGA monitors and have not seen this problem. I did have to press the auto-adjust button once on one of them. But I will concede that the VGA dot clock used by REMEMOrizer is 1.7% out from its correct value. One user (Iain) reported that his TV (which ...

Re: Running Newword Rom

Yes.

Type ROM 2 to activate the ROMs.
Then a letter.
N to create a "non-Document" document.

However, if you try to save the file with ^K S, it'll hang because its trying to use real cassette tape.
It doesn't go through the INOUT routine in the ROM which MEMU intercepts.

MEMU auto-type

In response to requests from Claus and Dave, MEMU now has an auto-type feature. Can be used to specify auto-start keystrokes on the command line. Can be used as a means to "type in" large MTX BASIC programs for which you have a file with a listing. Note that some listings require massaging...

Re: Power failed, R60 extreme hot :(

Change the power transistor.
Top right of motherboard.
I had this problem and this fixed it for me.

Note, I also changed the regulator, but it was the power transistor that fixed it.

Re: Adding files to SD card with win32

Yes, FDXB.COM does direct low level I/O to the FDX FDC. The later version of FDXB.COM looks for SDX FDC, and failing that reverts back to FDX FDC. I wonder if it would be possible to patch FDXB.COM to make a third version that looks for SD Card hardware, then falls back to SDX FDC and then FDX FDC? ...

Re: MTX Repairs and testing

Although its possible to disable the motherboard DRAM by a hardware mod like the one described earlier in the page above, it should also be possible to do the same by programming an address decoder PAL/GAL which never lowers the /RAM output signal.
No soldering iron required.

Re: Hello from a new member

Good set of pictures.
Looks in excellent condition.

REMEMOrizer could work with this, if you want it to.
Setup: remove 16KB ROM on bottom right, set REMEMOrizer ROMs jumper high, set REMEMOrizer MTX500 jumper high.
