Re: 3D printed REMEMOrizer case.

Sorry for the delay. I'm waiting for some black PLA to arrive before proceeding with it. The last order got cancelled (most likely due to Brexit and it coming from the EU), so I will have to find an alternative. I think the CFX won't fit as is, due to: The location of the edge connector relative to ...

Re: 3D printed REMEMOrizer case.

Depends. It's designed to fit the Rememorizer PCB, which (mine at least) is 100mm (w) x99mm (h). The height being most important as it clamps the board along that dimension. It relies on a good fit to hold the case square to the MTX case. In other words, the only thing holding it in place is the PCB...

Re: 3D printed REMEMOrizer case.

More... IMG_7279.jpg IMG_7280.jpg IMG_7281.jpg There are a few more tweaks to be done (like thickening the side walls and adjusting the position of the indents for the MTX case screws) but it's essentially complete. Once these modifications are done I will upload to Thingiverse and you can print awa...

3D printed REMEMOrizer case.

OK friends, I can now say the REMEMOrizer case is finished... more or less.

RS232?

Hi mateys

I have MTX512 / ReMemorizer and MagROM (Not really used it yet, but will, honest, Dave!). I would like to add one or more serial ports to the machine for Kermit file transfer under CP/M. Anyone done this, or must I recreate the Memotech addon?

Cheers

Re: Case/Extension Cable?

I gave up on the idea of screwing the case to the MTX case. There's not enough clearance to get the screws in, and have the case wall and internal other features not getting in the way. So, I have redesigned it with printed in sides. One side on the base (the one with the expansion port slot), the o...

The case has some new features - screw holes / tabs so that you can secure it to the MTX using the end panel screws, screw holes so you can secure the end panel to its outer side, and a cover for the expansion bay slot once it is secured to the case.

Re: Case/Extension Cable?

Right, another attempt, this time with the clips in the right orientation and a slot for the Memotech pin stripe & logo. Another try.JPG I'm printing a section of it to test for fit. Quick question - Should I build in locating tangs that fit into the inner slots on the MTX's case extrusion? It w...

Re: Case/Extension Cable?

Of course he has. Meanwhile, my top half of the case design has failed to print. I was soldering in front of the printer and the iron's cable got trapped under the print bed and jammed it, leading to some belt slippage (horrid noise). This means a Y shift and a failed print. Gah! On the other ...

You know me Mark, always happy to oblige..! Bottom case fitted.jpg Bottom case underside.jpg Bottom case rear.jpg I am printing the top cover at the moment. 8 hrs. So a couple of points - There's a layer shift halfway along the bottom case (printing artefact). It's not shifted the whole layer though...
