It's been a LONG time since I had access to a FDX, but from memory, FDXB puts everything on the 80 column screen by default. Until you do CRVS & VS to do output through the VDP that side of things is just an uninitialised black screen. Martin, I'm using the MTX connected to a REMEMOrizer. When ...

Can the REMEMOrizer run FDXB.COM? I've tried both versions from Dave's site and all I get is a black screen on the A/V channel.

Interesting idea, given how much faster the CFX loads COM files than their RUN equivalents. The contents .MTX files could be anything, it's a tape image so no hard and fast rules. A .RUN however is just a data dump with 4 bytes added to the start containing the load/run address, and then the size. ...

Is it possible to convert MTX and RUN files to COM files so that they can run directly from CP/M?
