I'd hazard a guess that the larger cards are all SDHC and not SD.

The were apparently changes to the standard, when they increased the capacity.

Both my MTX's have the bars on the display, so does the MTXplus although that uses a different VDP/Encoder combination.

I hadn't realised there were any MTX's out there that didn't have them !

SD to CF adapters work with the CFX, as that is a 16 bit interface. I don't expect them to work with 8 bit interface on the CFX-II. The one I have doesn't.

According to the ATA-ATAPI standard, 8 bit transfer mode only applies to CF cards, SD cards aren't mentioned.

I've just sent Dave the latest version of the Boot rom, the SiDisc code's been re-written and is included in the rom. Booting off the SiDisc is now supported if the drive has previously been set up. The drive's low level code has also had a work over. The original Memotech SiDisc driver would verify...
