My second MTX
Well I definitely over paid for this but not to worry it's just got added challenge. Wasn't exactly packed very well (two piece's of paper in a box with the MTX were the PSU, Tape deck and a box of tapes) but I guess it was only packed to go across the country (UK) not also from there to New Zealand...

I have a DE1 with Rememotech on it and a DE1-SOC which has some cores ported to it.
Just waiting for the DE10 NANO to become available again.

Re: Fading Composite output
Yep its all good now. Played Escape from Zarcos for around 30 minutes with no further issues so it must have been the LM1889 at fault.

Re: Fading Composite output
OK while typing the previous message I remembered that I have a dead 48K Spectrum board (tracks lifted) which has a LM1889N on it. Bit of desoldering and swapped them over and it's been running fine for the last 10 minutes. :D Excellent finally I may get to put the lid on it and leave it there.

Fading Composite output
Hi So the CFXII is purring along nicely however after all the work changing caps and getting the machine back up and running I now find that after around 5 minutes the composite output has faded out and the TV has lost signal. As part of recapping the motherboard I recapped the video board and every...

This one puts it into better perspective
Here it is at the meeting. The MTX512 was not behaving and would loose all video output after around 10 minutes

It lives and what a great piece of equipment
So Because of HexTrain I got hooked and purchased a DE1 board from Mouser who still have some. After getting frustrated with Quartus mainly due to expired certificates on the drivers with 13.1 I just used the programmer and the pre compiled files. And its a brilliant piece of work Andy. I absolutely...

Re: CFXII - Black screen with it plugged in
Thanks guys. Yes I've learnt heaps. Especially with the Logic Board today. Also I know understand the CFXII board a lot more. Also it pushed me to upgrade it  Yes hindsight is a fantastic thing. I might try putting the old Propeller chip and serial eprom back in to see if they work but that can...
