Re: Please Introduce yourself...
Hi Mark, Thanks for the best wishes, the Memotech is indeed, a beauty. Glad to know you are still around, I have been sourcing ordering parts for the PSU and will soon be attempting a build, which will mean quite a lot of questions in your PSU thread. I hope that is okay with you! Cheers, Steve EDIT...

Re: The screw at the bottom of the MTX
@thewiz, oh yes, in more ways than one, I'm sure. I've bought 30-something year old home micro without prior knowledge of whether it works or not and spent probably the same amount again on parts, that are coming from the four corners of Europe, to make a power-supply, for which I am definitely not ...

Re: The screw at the bottom of the MTX
Thanks Martin. I'll investigate (hoping to strip it down for a good clean this weekend).

The screw at the bottom of the MTX
There is a screw in the middle of my MTX on the underside of the case. It turns (without unscrewing - it seems) and can be pulled up and then it springs back into place.
Should it be able to do that (or should it be screwed in)? And what is it for?

Re: Building a replacement MTX PSU
Hi all, I've been silly enough to buy an MTX512 without a PSU, so now need to build my own PSU. I'm having some trouble sourcing replacements for some of the missing items in the UK BOM (I'm in Denmark). I think I have now sourced alternatives for the ones that are now obsolete. However, the main pr...

Re: First-time Memotech MTX 512 owner in Denmark
Thank you for the reply and warm welcome, sir! Shame about Andy's site being down (I wanted to check out the previous Memofests) and that the Rememorizer is legacy item. I suppose the market is too small. Will definitely check out the CFX (once I have the unit up and running!) I'm looking at buildin...

First-time Memotech MTX 512 owner in Denmark
Hi all, I have just, this evening, got my first Memotech MTX computer! I am a 50 year old British man who lives and works in Denmark. I've been here for four years and enjoy it. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and my first computer was a VIC-20, which I got at Christmas 1982. My first computer love, th...
