For those of you who may have missed it, the latest bit of hardware from Zaxon is a Spectrum +128 clone, using the latest hardware.

Designed to fit in an original ZX Spectrum rubber case, this is a full clone of the ZX Spectrum +128 (toastrack), using the latest hardware and
with added features, including:
- 128 kb memory
- DivSD on board, using the ESXDOS firmware
- RGB video output on minidin8 socket
- Kempston interface on board
- Stereo AY output.

Whilst pre-orders for this have been strong, Zaxon is auctioning his fully functional and tested prototype to help fund the production run of the clone.

The auction finishes at 18:51 UK time today !! - see http://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/detail ... t-one-4240 for details

Zaxon also offers a range of other hardware, including a CPC clone (also in development) and various sound cards and interfaces.

Other Spectrum Ideas from RWAP Software

RWAP Software also have various spares and extras available for Speccy fans, including ever-necessary keyboard membranes, and replacement faceplates for both the rubber key ZX Spectrum and the ZX Microdrive.

One of the newest products from RWAP Software is a replacement rainbow badge which can replace lost or damaged ones on the bottom right corner of a Spectrum+48 or Spectrum+128 keyboard.

Don't forget their replacement rubber feet, and interfaces such as the DivIDE Plus, K-Mouse Turbo and Spectranet, as well as a wealth of ZX Spectrum Software.

Zaxon had an... errm... allegedly mixed reputation on the Atari forums with UltraSatan units. Just saying... Assuming it's the same guy.

Same guy, but he has got a lot better at sorting out orders.
In the past, demand exceeded his ability to supply...

Myself, the various items I have bought from him have all arrived within a reasonable time (this includes pre-order items).

That's true Mark and as I recall no one was worried about waiting for orders to come in - it was the lack of communication after handing over your cash that worried people. If Zaxon's improved in this respect that can only be for the good.
