Time passes . . .

Post by Dave »

Hi Guys

Well, it's May already !

If Memofest 2016 (Aberdeen) is going to happen, I guess that we need start thinking about finalising the arrangements so that people can think about booking travel etc.

Based on the limited feedback to date, I propose that we fix the dates for the 29th/30th October. Unless there is any push back on these dates in the next week or so, then we should consider the dates fixed.

It may still be too early for people to commit to attending, but, assuming that the date is fixed as noted, then it should at least be possible for people to definitely rule themselves out if they can't make it.

It would be good if people could at least let me know whether they are considering coming, but, more importantly at this point, can you please let me know if you WON'T be coming

regards
Dave

Whats the latest on this...

Aberdeen or Cheshire?

29th/30th or other date?

Anyone said they'll attend or not?

Dates and places above currently look viable.
If others are going, then I will too.
But will need to know soon.

Hi Andy,

the latest is as I posted in the thread . . .

"But will need to know soon." - yeah - me too

I don't think that there has been any mention of Cheshire again this year (?) - I really hope that it will be Aberdeen, but so far, I have had no definite commitments to attend. The dates that got the most interest were the 29th/30th October, so those are the dates that have been chosen.

So, as far I am concerned :-

It is on (subject to people actually wanting to attend)
It will be in Aberdeen
The dates are 29th/30th October

Hi,

Missed this thread somehow.

Don't have a problem from a work point of view. My better half has given a tentative yes when last it came up so will do a bit of digging and get that confirmed.

Hi

I have been searching the plane tickets from London To Abadeen, but it seems like there is an option. The 29.
Problem is do we have enough time.

No madder what Its still the best choice for me to have one stop in London. If any direct plane from Copenhagen they are quite expensive.

Hi Claus,

I guess that would give you about 5 hours at my house. BA flights from Aberdeen to Heathrow are quite frequent, what about staying over in Aberdeen on the 29th, rather than London, and getting a flight back to London on the 30th to catch your Copenhagen flight?

I think the above example, covers for everyone going from London :)

Another plan could be this, but it means stay overnight. Any sleeping places in your home?

I could be wrong, but I guess most of the people from "mainland" would travel from London ?

Pah!

I'm 140 miles away from London.

Some other discussions here that may help...

I'm good for the 29th and 30th of October.
