I suggest you try a range of different numbers to see if there is a pattern (as in binary number patten, not a colourful screen :P ).

I'm going to go ZZZZzzzzz now, as have to be in London by 09:00 tomorrow...

You probably also need to run MTX.COM and run the test code from the VDP side, otherwise the OS is likely to mess with the results when you start PRINTing.

Hi Mark,

no more actual testing done, I have been spending a bit of time trying to understand how the card works. Your previous post helped and with a bit of "googling" and more reading of the datasheet, I'm getting there
