The CFX-II has an 80 column display built in, which uses a VGA connector for output to a monitor.

Still a work in progress. . . . . . .

But, hopefully, coming soon :D

I got my case pieces printed. There's also the third piece even though it doesn't show in the pictures. Need to get them painted.

Sorry for loosing the other pictures. They were hosted at dropbox and apparently they don't support linking embedded images anymore.

Looking good !

Was it "professionally" printed?

Is your base flat?

Any reason why you didn't print it in black?

Dave

Semi-professionally by my friend. The base is flat from what I can tell from the pictures.

He tried printing it with a black material (ABS?) but here's what happened to it:

He then switched over to PLA. I suppose he didn't have other than white for his new machine.

I'm getting the pieces tomorrow.

Hi that's interesting.

I use PLA and thought about trying ABS, but I won't now :)

I will try printing my base again.

Did you use the same model files that you sent me?

Dave

I'll ask what the black material was. EDIT: it was ABS.

Those are the same files. The third piece is a solid one, without the hole for the CF card.

I just had look at the SDX. That seems to be held in place by just the edge connector. Is that really so?

I was just wondering if I designed an extra bracket that would fasten into the CFX pcb and it would then slide into the same slots as the MTX mainboard.

Yes, the original version of the SDX was just held by the edge connector.

The later version had a metal plate screwed to its base that also screwed into the bottom of the MTX case.

Not sure what you mean about your bracket, but would be interested to see the design
