Hi Guys.
Any one have any ideas about some APPS could make the forum more usable.
For IOS I read about a app called TAPATALK or something, but need to install a plugin at the forum to use it, maybe Android have something like it.
If you guys have any suggestions we could give them a try.
The forum is powered by PHPbb, so the app have to support this Forum Software.

Hi Claus,
that's a coincidence, I was looking at something to do the same thing last night, I didn't want to use something that needed plug-ins at the phpbb end, and TapTalk seemed to be more onerous than some others.
I had already asked that the forum be added to the free version of Forum Reader. I thought that we could try it, then if any good, perhaps keep using it. The free version is ad supported, which will be a bit of a pain, but the paid for version is only 69p. It is IOS only though, so we probably do need to use something different for the poor Android users out there
regards
Dave

I dont mind installing a plugin for make it work if its supporting for phpbb. We just need to find a way make it more easy to use the forum, and for myself, yes it could be easier with mobile devices too.
I did browse the forum using an old HTC with a very small screen like 3" or so. Almost impossible to read - just using build in internet browser.

Alas, TAPATALK is one of those love it or hate it things
If you don't have TAPATALK, or have it, but don't want to use TAPATALK, forums that have TAPATALK enabled have annoying TAPATALK pop-ups where TAPATALK tries to get you to download / enable / use the TAPATALK app.

Agreed re not easy to use on a mobile, FB is not much better either so it takes real effort to find things and navigate around and being honest I usually give up and wait until I am on my laptop. I would be happy for an App as long as it does not need to access my contacts/camera/mic/location etc which the likes of FB does. I am one of the poorer folk on Android

if you try to reply without login, the forum ask you to login, after you logged in the browser automatic transfer you to the forum reply. (after maybe 5 secs)
Like I did with this thread. At least it work for Chrome. But I guess its a simple "meta code" so it should work with every browser?
But a app should be more useful when using mobile devices. Guess have to see what is possible, when I got time.
Here is that term again "When I get time"
