I guess if I Join, need to be booked along time before, cause Prices can go crazy, no budget companies seems to go to Aberdeen. I saw prices as high than 500+ £

I trust that you all had a good Christmas and New Year and can start thinking about Memofest 2016!

I am still up for hosting it, confident as I am that folks are really looking forward to making the trip to Costa Del Aberdeen http://www.visitaberdeen.com/

Obviously, the event is only feasible if people are prepared to travel, though, in this instance, it is probably as easy for Claus to get here as anyone else, since there are direct flights from Copenhagen, but Aberdeen has good Air and Rail links with the rest of the UK.

So, I guess the first things are :-
Provisional list of attendees
Preferred dates
Suggestions for agenda

I am pretty flexible around dates, the previous events have been September/October, so that seems like a good starting point.

To that end, if you are interested in attending Memofest 2016 in Aberdeen, can you please send me an e-mail/PM telling me how interested you are in attending. At this stage, I don't expect a definite commitment, it's just for planning purposes. It would help though, if you could try and quantify the probability of your attendance on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 = "I have a vague notion that it might", to 10 = "I'm on my way" (with 5 not being particularly helpful).

Can you also suggest the best dates for you in September/October, along with any dates that you definitely can't manage.

I realise that most people won't be driving and taking equipment by Air/Rail wouldn't be easy, but can you let me know what, if any, hardware you might bring along. Can you also suggest things that you'd like to see on the "agenda" for this year.

If you are interested in staying in Aberdeen overnight, please let me know, if you give me some idea of your budget, I can see what hotels could be suitable. If you let me know what mode of travel you would be using, it would help plan the start & end times etc.

Um, scale of 1 to 10... This will have to wait until I work out how possible/likely it is... (too tired to go and work out travel possibilities now).

Dates currently are not a big issue, as long as the date is sorted at least 3 months beforehand, nearly any date in late August through to late November is likely not to be a problem. But I will list preferred dates later anyway.

I think any time is ok for me, I am very interested to be there, but it seems like the Tickets are still very expencive.

Just an Idea could we make some kind of "travel together plan" ?
Maybe the guys from the rest of UK. Could meet in London, and we could travel as a Group (Train/Bus/Plane or what ever), Maybe we could even have some kind of group discount on the fare ?

Woow just checket some train prices, seems to be quite crazy. And take 7hrs maybe its not a good idea.

Just tested from London to Aberdeen by Plane, its possible fro around £82

But actually it might be cheaper (or at least not more expensive) for me to from CPH to LONDON and from LONDON to Aberdeen.
