A new old MTX ROM bug!?

Post by Potholepete »

While I have been experimenting with ES assembler on the MTX I started to notice an odd thing happen when using the IX registers in Edit mode. I spoke to Martin about this and he tried it and found it does it in Memu and I tried both Memu and my MTX

From Martin's chat:

I can duplicate it (I had LD (IX+2),2 and edit mode brought up LD (IX+#00),2 so converted it to hex as well as changing the value.

Is this a new and unknown bug in the MTX rom or is it one of those known but forgotten ones?

They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so ...

The indexed value stored at LABEL 2 was IX+#06.
What came up in the editor was IX+#00.

NB LABEL3 was originally IX+2 that was over written with IX+#00, that's the one originally reported to Jim. I forgot to screen grab that one!

Darn it! I was told that it was bug free… Is it too late to return my MTX to Memotech?

Mark

PS is there actually a list of bugs anywhere?
:!: Standby alert :!:

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :!:
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :D

Not as many MTXs as Dave!
