Re: Embarrassing newbie questions

Hi, the serial numbers don't give a very good idea of what you have. Photos are always good, but it appears that you have an MTX500 motherboard that has been upgraded with an extra 32k, this is very common. The RAM chips on the main board are probably OKI M3732H or L - 32k x 1 DRAMs. The extra card ...

Re: REMEMOrizer : VGA monitor compatibility

Hi Jon, I only meant "unhappy" in the sense that you were not able to use it, perhaps "disappointed" (particularly with your old monitors!) might have been a better description. I was just concerned that your inability to make use of REMEMOrizer was leading you to neglect the MTX...

Re: REMEMOrizer : VGA monitor compatibility

Hi Jon,

OK thanks, not surprising that you have no manuals really :-)

Still, it appears that you are happy with REMEMOrizer, let us know about your Dell monitor in due course though,

regards

Re: REMEMOrizer : VGA monitor compatibility

Hi Jon, why are you not using the latest display technology? - You'd think that was a Retro Computer Group or something :-) Glad you've got REMEMrozer working on another monitor though. I had been tryingt to find data on your old monitors, but I have not been able to find any technical data on the w...

Re: Feature request "GUI for Windows"

Hi Bill, thanks - that's sorted it. I guess that the -tape-dir entry is actually redundant if you browse to the file to run, rather than just enter a name in the box, but now they don't interfere with each other, it works well. As you say, there are some "missings" at the moment, but alrea...

Re: REMEMOrizer : VGA monitor compatibility

I have created a page to tabulate the results, if you add your details to this thread, I will update the page http://www.primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/projects/rememorizer/rememorizer_vga.htm If you know the horizontal and vertical scanning frequencies for your monitor/tv, please include them to yo...

Re: Feature request "GUI for Windows"

Hi Bill, yes, I understand the function of the options in MEMU, I don't quite get how they are put together in the launcher. What I expected to do, was to set the tapedir path then pick the file to run However, if I use the browser button (...) to select the tapedir path then use the browser button ...

Re: Feature request "GUI for Windows"

Hi Bill, thanks a lot, this looks like it will do the trick. I am trying it on Windows - originally with Python 3.3.3, now Python 2.7.6. I didn't pay enough attention to the error messages when I couldn't get it to run under 3.3.3, but I will try the later version on Python again in a while - I susp...
