Re: Sound Engine and Music player for the MTX
Hi Bill, Currently the one program that many seem to use for their Retro music is called DefleMask (Legacy is the free version), and this has several VSTs (A plug in that can emulate the specific sound chips capabilities) that can be added to the Tracker (the music creation tool) for the musician to...

Sound Engine & Midi Music player for the MTX
I have been playing for a while with Tony Bs (Rolla Bearing etc) Envosound (ES) engine and after getting a lot of help from Martin (BIG thank you :-) I now have it as a runnable standalone option. Originally in Downstream Danger and then Rolla Bearing we created the music by hand coding it into the ...

Re: any update on the .mtx to wav question
Many thanks Bill, using your original suggesting, an old dusty tape recorder, a new 90 min TDK tape and some cotton buds to clean the heads I finally managed to get a reloadable version of the program on tape. Then using my USB cassette device I played that back into the PC and recorded it in Audaci...

Re: Kill off interrupts on the MTX
So it looks like your second option worked, the 1st one did the same as the one I listed, basically did not seem to stop the interrupts. so for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to kill off interrupts for editing etc uses Bills method below. 10000 LET A=USR(2431) 10010 LET A=USR(2445) 10020 ST...

Kill off interrupts on the MTX
I am currently playing around with Envosound in an attempt to get it usable as a sound engine for any new MTX games that people may want to develop and are looking for a good sound engine to use. It uses a single interrupt to control all 4 channels, The issue I have is that once I run the program it...

Re: any update on the .mtx to wav question
I do (Win10) Following on from this: After a lot of messing about and eventually getting an old tape deck and an unused cassette I managed to save it to tape, then use my USB tape deck that allows me to easily sample it from there. So on this issue we have success :-) I have another issue but will c...

Re: any update on the .mtx to wav question
you know sometimes no matter how long you stare something and no matter how obvious it is some things are clearly just beyond me  I simply did not think of using the MTX ear to see if I could record a good enough quality sample to use. Next step, find that recorder and have a go ;-) Thanks Bil...

Re: any update on the .mtx to wav question
Hi Bill, thanks for getting back. I clicked on your link and it took me to you uploads(?) page but I am not sure what I should be downloading to be able to get it running. Any chance of a link to the exact file(s?) I will need and then I will give it a go. I have the program I would like to try as a...

any update on the .mtx to wav question
I saw the post back in 21 about this and wondered if there was a solution in place now that can take a .mtx file saved in Memu and then convert it to a wav file that can then be loaded into an MTX the old fashioned way for those who do not have a CFX/MFX handy? I saw a ref to Appmake but no links an...
