Setting the Agenda

Post by Martin A »

Memofest is just a week away  !

So now 2 questions so that I can try and work out an event plan.

Who has something that they want to show. I know some of you have said you're working on something, no need to say what it is if you want to keep it a surprise

What time to people expect to be here

Details can be sent to the memofest2017@btinternet.com e-mail address

NB if anyone's significant other is coming and needs a "native guide" to the area that can be arrange too.

Well, I listed the stuff I plan to bring on the "what to do" thread.

None of it is Memotech related I'm afraid. Will you have space for the big Tandy?

The "computer room" benches are both about 7' long.

The "provisional" Memofest setup has 7 screens set up, one or 2 of which can be moved if necessary

Hi Martin

On Saturday, my estimated arrival is likely to be between 10:00 and 11:00. I will be traveling by car.

13:00 to 14:00 Lunch

15:00 to 15:30 Tea, coffee and CAKE

15:30 to 19:00 Afternoon session: high score competition and repairs/upgrades, maybe coding competition results ?

19:00 to 20:00 Evening meal

Thanks to Martin & family for hospitality, a very substantial buffet and another very impressive cake.

I only wish I had been able to spend longer with all the assembled Memotechies.

Bill.

Agreed on both points :D

I also thank Martin for a wonderful Memofest ;)

And after a smooth drive home, I'm home safe and sound

It was a really good day. A lovely spread, not one but THREE cakes (one of which was the Memofest cake with its impressive decoration). There was some really interesting conversation (some of which - most! - I didn't follow too well, there being some proper experts in attendance) plus some really fascinating off topic stuff. Thanks to Mark and Martin for helping me get the machines back in my car. That Tandy is a heavy old beast... lots of patchy fog on the way home but made it safe n sound.

Very happy I came and thanks again to "Mein Host" Martin and his mum who made some really cracking cups of tea. That Victoria sponge was pretty special too!

:)
