Pedro Torres from Portugal

Post by o0Nosferatuo0 »

Hi, my name's Pedro and i'm from Portugal. I'm a Vintage Computer Collector.

Recently i got a Memotech MTX 512, with Memory extension and a Dual Serial/ Floppy expansion card???

Currently i'm waiting for a PSU, to check if it works.

Best regards,
Pedro Torres

Welcome!

The dual serial card doesn't actually have a floppy interface merely a connector to allow it to interface with the FDX floppy drive and 80 column display unit.

If you do want a virtual floppy drive interface, it seems that there's still a couple of CFX cards available:

As for the power supply, I hope that you find one soon, then you can play!

It's a The RS232 Communications and FDX System Interface Card

Hi Pedro,

Welcome to the forum.

I hope that you find a power supply for your MTX, but they are very difficult to find.

Mark Kinsey has designed a replacement that you may be able to build yourself

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :!:
Autumn is here. Bye bye summer 2024...

Not as many MTXs as Dave!
