That’s really weird, it worked fine here.

You are definitely entering the command and filename in capitals from BASIC?

OK, power cycled and it works now. A minor glitch.

Mmmm, worrying all the same, I’ve not seen any similar issues here.

Hopefully, it was a one-off!

I've known the CFX to have issues reading the CF card, especially under CP/M, so I'm not too worried.

I just have to work out all the ways to get displays working. Even with the TMS emulation it looks like it may need to be a two monitor system, especially if starting games from CP/M.

I have a Dell monitor that has both VGA and composite inputs, but I don’t really need to switch the inputs with MFX.

Start games using the right CP/M command (RTFM) and it will switch the output from 80 column mode to 40 columns through the VGA

There's a manual?! I guess that it's on Primrosebank. :-)

P.S. Found it!
It wasn't in a locked filing cabinet in a disused toilet with a sign on the door saying, "Beware of the leopard" thankfully.

The manual was referenced in the letter included with CFX :)

"Please download a copy of the MFX Operator’s Guide from this page:
http://primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/p ... _usage.htm"

As it turns out, there is a slight error on the page about running COM games from CP/M (the note describes how to do it on CFX-II), for MFX, you just need to enter "CPMVDP comgame" (no extension after the com game name)

Oh, I didn't see the letter. Maybe I opened the bottom of the box.

Probably too much "tape and bubble wrap" :)
