Hi everyone,
With vintage Z80 based original hardware either being scarce or vastly over priced, it seems as if I have stumbled across something reasonable and sort of familiar!
Go and take a peek at this link, and read the hardware spec...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394319978146 ... R8joqruLYQ
Sorry for the long Link!
It uses Z80 and a TI graphics chip like the MSX and TI99 computers. Could this make it possible to make an "MTX2" by clever eprom programming and some ingenius ROM work?
I would love to hear your views.
Apparently it has hardware that can allow comms over cable systems too.
Best wishes
Mike

Re: Just found this/these...
That's an interesting looking thing. I wonder if you could put a TMS9928 in there, swap a crystal and make it PAL?
If I could retire today, I might be able to get around to looking at it by 2038 but I have so much 8-bit goodness in my man-cave already and not much free time, sadly.

Seems there is an unboxing and boot video:

Has no storage, but could possibly have drives attached. The software was downloaded over the wire, so there might not be much you can do with it.
There are efforts to bring the networked part back online:

There used to be a development and demo version which had a drive attached via ribbon cable, so that the CP/M system could be accessed/used. I would think there would be somewhere on the mobo where a cable could be soldered/socketed.
Interesting machine indeed!
