Hi,
Welcome to the forum!
I don’t know anything about the RGBtoHDMI adapter, but be aware that the MTX does not have an RGB output, though it does have Composite Video.
(The FDX disk system does have a colour video output, signal, but not pin, compatible with CGA)

Re: undo 25p64 eprom mod ?
There are lots of options. As I said earlier, Claus needs to examine the existing patch wires. If he’s lucky, he might not need to do any further modification, even his 64k ROMs might work “as is” if the higher address lines are already tied high or low. At this point, with no detailed information o...

Re: undo 25p64 eprom mod ?
i dont see any cut traces, wonder if i can just remove this "mod" and put in roms from another 4000-05 board. Why do you want to remove the existing ROMs? Have you looked under the existing ROMs? - the cut traces are likely to be there, you might be able to see them though the sockets, or...

Re: Hello from Finland
Yes the disk drive LED comes on. Picture in LCD just goes up and down. Is the signal from that RCA maybe 15khz and this LCD does not take that. I now used only the FDX PSU to power both FDX and MTX. Composite Video is 15kHz horizontal, the phono output **should** work with all TVs composite input b...

Re: Hello from Finland
Video output information here http://primrosebank.net/computers/mtx/mtx512_video.htm Yes, the phono connector is Composite Video, monochrome output only though. Should work with a Composite Video connector on a TV/monitor The 9 pin connector is CGA level signals but the pin-out is different (see abo...

Re: Voltage problems 4000-05 board
If the voltages are really as advised, particularly -5VDC, then I think that the VRAMs are highly likely to have been damaged anyway TMS 4116 datasheet states that "-5V must be applied before, or at the same time as, the other voltages and removed last."

Re: MFX and soldered in RAM expansions
What da yah mean? An angle grinder or jigsaw can quickly separate those RAM boards from the main board ;) And you appear not to have posted the "after" photo  Mark Ha-ha, that may have been the tools that Jason used :D Unfortunately, I don’t have an after photo - Jason . . .?

MFX and soldered in RAM expansions
Soldered in Memotech memory boards don’t need to be a barrier to MFX! Memotech frequently made MTX512s out of MTX500 computer boards by adding a RAM expansion card inside the case. Some were push fit edge connectors, in other cases, Memotech soldered the RAM board in place. This makes it difficult ...

Re: Hello from Finland
just a quick note re the FDX. If it has not been powered up in a while don't be surprised if you get a fizz and a pop then a lot of nasty smells and the caps on the PSU fry. I have had to replace them all of the SDX/FDX PSU's I have. Jim Replacement described here :- http://primrosebank.net/compute...
