I raised the limit for attachments, I think it allows .zip .rar etc also.
What attachments we need to support?
Currently SPACE is not an issue, I have 25gb space, and currently I am using 2.5gb and its included the www.mtxworld.dk homepage and files.

Re: Attachments in the Forum
The only other file type that we should consider (if not already done) is any MTX specific file types that would be more convenient not to be zipped up.
Everything else can be zipped up.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb

Autumn is here. Bye bye summer 2024...
Not as many MTXs as Dave!

Re: Attachments in the Forum
a DAT or ROM type would be nice, I tried posting a rom a while back, and ended up renaming it as a PDF I think !
Re: Attachments in the Forum
On other forums, I alway zip up ROM files.

Re: Attachments in the Forum
Personal I dont like ZIP that much, I have been using RAR for years
But I prefer files to be archived in some way, also for security. I know it should be rare a file are damaged, but if a ZIP or RAR file are damaged you will know when you extract it
Have to check admin interface to see if its possible to add .MTX .ROM etc.

Re: Attachments in the Forum
For my own back-ups I prefer RAR. But when sharing files, ZIP is preferred simply because not everyone has or uses a RAR unpacker. ZIP being older is more widespread.
